Qwerky gallery, lovely garden and nice food.

Very interesting cross border exhibition enhanced by knowledgeable member of staff.

The Lucienne Day show is great and well worth a visit. Lots of air around the fabrics to view them. Perhaps this idea could have been pushed a little further to make good use of the lovely gallery space available. Using chronology as a way of curating her work provided a helpful perspective to the viewer if not a particularly challenging one.The exhibition catalogue was attractively produced and I especially liked the postcard-size, paper swatches of some of her fabrics interleaved throughout.

Just had a fabulous lunch here today, delicious food beautifully presented (goats cheese salad was a work of art!) Fabulous tray bakes too. Well worth a visit

I have to admit to being rather disappointed. I visited this establishment for the first time today, having found out about it on this platform. It is a beautiful place set in a fantastic location but unfortunately the food didn't quite match the surroundings.I ordered the large breakfast with tea and a filled soda with beans and a Latte for my partner. The food was beautifully presented but wasn't really hot enough, most of it merely warm with the beans barely tepid. The fried soda was very soft and not really fried and both of us were aware of a strange taste from some of the sausages. We also noticed that the floor had quite a covering of dust and small food items, especially at the base of the windows. Now, don't get me wrong, we both ate all the food and upon being asked by the friendly and attentive staff, did not mention our concerns at the time. I'm not one for public confrontation or raising delicate issues in front of an audience. So, to sum up, it's a beautiful place with pleasant staff but a little more attention to the basics is required to make it a truly unique experience.
