We were here for a family birthday in one of the superb suites in this hotel. The food was excellent - a varied menu wirh friendly, efficient service. Definitely would highly recommend.

Great atmosphere and quick and friendly service. I wish the food was better though. Maybe its just bad timing but this is the second time Ive eaten here and the food was disappointing both times. Perhaps because it was beef both times? First time was the carvery and it was too tough to chew and I couldnt finish it. Today it was the burger and it was bland and tasteless. And I couldnt finish it. However my partner got gammon eggs and chips and it was delicious so perhaps its just the beef in here but doesnt fare well.I love atmosphere however so Ill given one more - non beef - go!
Been here many times over the years and having visited very recently I can confirm that it has not lost any of its charm. Food is first class and service is amazing. Staff could not be any more friendly and helpful.
