What can I say about here?? It's so freaking perfect it's unreal absolutely love the Mourne mountains and you have them all around you fresh clean air always so quiet
Excellent place for family days out but not only. Bike rental service is available with mountain bike tracks. There is nice cafeteria and caravan/motorhomes area with nice views. Hiking routes with different levels of difficulty. Would highly recommend!
Spent New Years Day walking around Silent Valley & it was absolutely beautiful!! We had a little picnic by the lake & the ducks firstly, then walked the 5K from the reservoir to Ben Crom Dam. It was super nice. Highly recommend it!
Great variety of walks suitable for able bodied and disabled. Didn't use coffee house or toilet facilities today because we had picnic. Great seating offered, amazing views and photo ops. Will return!
What a fantastic area for a picnic, walk, run or a family day out. It is 4.50 for a car to enter the park, it is really worth the money. There is a large car park, lots of areas to play, walk etc in. There are plenty of picnic tables and lots of toilets. But the best part is the gorgeous scenery. Lots of different walks of different distances and levels. The signage for the walks is good and the booklet you are given at the entrance gate is very useful and informative. The park also has a cafe, the menu is small but the service is friendly.
